PK Transport Systems presented the first Russian serial tram with elements of autopilot at the Innoprom-2023 exhibition. It is called "Nevsky".
«Currently, the Russian machine-building industry is in a unique situation, where, on the one hand, it is necessary to create and implement innovations, and on the other hand, to achieve the highest possible level of production localization. And despite the difficulties that arise, we still manage to achieve amazing results. For example, the "Nevsky" tram is today the flagship of the Russian tram industry. Comfort, reliability and safety, combined with ultra-modern design and technical innovative solutions, make this tram the best example of urban electric transport. And I am sure that "Nevsky" will be in demand not only in Russian cities, but also in friendly countries», — said Alexander Dubrovkin, General Director of PK Transport Systems, about the serial novelty.
The peculiarity of "Nevsky" is not only in the autopilot system, but also in the presence of two cabs and doors on both sides of the body, so "Nevsky" does not need to turn around to run on the line in the opposite direction. Heated zones are installed at the entrance doors of the tram so that there is no ice when entering the cabin in the cold season.
The length of "Nevsky" is 27 m, the total passenger capacity is 205 people. The tram is adapted for people with disabilities. Localization is 95%: only rubber products and conductors in electrical equipment blocks remain from foreign production, they are supplied by China and India.
