On the official website of the Forum of Future Technologies, which is set to be held in Russia for the first time, an extensive business program has been published. The event is set to kick off with the private international scientific conference ICQT-2023 on 9-12 July, with open program days – 13-14 July.
The theme of the forum in 2023 is "Computation and Communication. Quantum world". The business program of the event consists of four main thematic parts.
The block "Science and Technology: Ensuring Sovereignty and Development" includes sessions: "Technological Sovereignty and Russia's Place in International Science: Contradiction or Synergy?", "What drives science? Non-financial state support tools", "Help or not interfere? Government regulation of science", "Trust environment as the basis of the digital economy", "How to unite talents? Find, develop and keep".
The block "What will be the technologies of tomorrow" includes sessions: "Moor's Law: is there a future for transistor microelectronics?", "Quantum superiority: in search of practical application", "Quantum internet: can a quantum supercomputer be created? Will there be room for artificial intelligence?", "Quantum communications: from research to business."
The block "How technologies change the world" includes sessions "Quantum town of the future", "Quantum computers and sensors in industry: is the future already here?", "Medicine and the man of the future in a quantum world: science fiction or reality?" as well as "Blockchain: Scaling, Security, Perspectives".
The discussion block "Uniting science and creativity" includes sessions: "Ethics of digital world: old utopias in a new light", "Image of a quantum in human consciousness", "Modern science: engineering or creativity" with questions about those transformations in human life, that are inevitably brought by further digitalization.
"The modern economy is increasingly becoming an economy based on data. Under such circumstances, data computing and transmission technologies are becoming some of the key technologies of the modern economy. It is important for Russia to be a leader in new technologies that can be revolutionary. This means that quantum technologies and photonics are those areas that need to receive special attention", – said the assistant to the president of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin.
Among the additional events of the Forum: the VTsIOM session "Image of the future: public opinion on high tech", open meeting Management committee on the implementation of the development roadmap for the high-tech area "Quantum communications" and a press conference, dedicated to the establishment of the National award in the field of future technologies "Challenge".
The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Russian Quantum Center (RQC).
