The Telegram channel "Autopotok" reported that the Iranian automaker Kerman Motor, also known as KMC, will enter the Russian market. The company will debut with the JAC J4 model. It was once a "Chinese" car (in China, the car was produced from 2012 to 2019 under the name JAC Heyue A30), and now in Iran it is 70% import-substituted.
In general, Kerman Motor is going to enter the CIS markets with the JAC J4, but Russia is obviously a priority. The sedan's technology is simple and typical for an Iranian car: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 113 hp is combined with a 5-speed "mechanics" or a CVT.
Interestingly, in Iran, they are going to build their own car based on the JAC J4, now it has the code designation Kerman PS1.
