Olga Dubinchuk, Marketing Director of the tire manufacturer Belshina, announced that the Belarusian enterprise is preparing to resume supplies of its products to AvtoVAZ from 2024. Negotiations on this are underway.
Interestingly, consultations on the resumption of supplies of Belarusian tires to the AvtoVAZ assembly line have been ongoing for at least a year: back in last June, a Belarusian delegation visited Togliatti. It included Sergei Ostapets, Deputy General Director of Belshina for Commercial Affairs, who reported that 80% of the raw material needs of the Bobruisk tire plant are provided by Tolyattikauchuk.
«We are ready to continue other cooperation, which, unfortunately, ended a year ago. I am talking about the supply of our tires to the assembly line of the Volga Automobile Plant. Therefore, we ask for your assistance in resolving this issue», – Ostapets addressed the head of Togliatti, Nikolai Rents, at the time.
Rents replied that this issue had already been discussed with the Volga Automobile Plant: «I'll tell you a secret: they are now actively working with Kazan in terms of tire supply, so you'll have to jostle a bit».
