The CEO of Novavind (part of Rosatom's perimeter), Grigory Nazarov, announced the launch of wind turbine blade production in Russia. Production at the plant in the Ulyanovsk region will be launched by the end of 2024.
The company reported that until 2022, wind turbine blades in Russia were produced by a Danish company, but it left the country. In 2023, Yumatex, a Rosatom division for the production of composite materials, joined the creation of blade production.
Novavind noted that they are not experiencing a shortage of orders. "Novavind itself, from the point of view of its portfolio of orders for the next three years, is fully loaded. We also have production facilities, a production program, loaded, our construction unit is also loaded with work," said Grigory Nazarov.
