AI will scare birds away from Russian airports

The new system will selectively target specific birds

According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, scientists from Tomsk have created a new device for scaring away birds at airports. It differs from the previous one in that it provides bird recognition and selectively affects only those that actually interfere with the operation of the air harbor and threaten aircraft flights.

The system developed in Tomsk automatically identifies a "dangerous" bird (in the Tomsk airport area, this is the gray crow, magpie, and black raven) and purposefully activates the scare system. The installation is currently undergoing testing, and it is noted that other air harbors in the country are also showing interest in it.
