"Rostec" delivered a new heavy military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It is made from domestic components and is a modernized version of Il-76: the flight range has been increased, the accuracy of aircraft guidance and landing has been improved, the quality of radio communication has also improved. Plus, the Il-76MD-90A can carry more useful load. The aircraft was manufactured at the branch of JSC "Il" - "Aviastar" of the United Aircraft Corporation (part of "Rostec").
It is noted that the ground and flight tests of the aircraft were successful, on time. At present, several Il-76MD-90A transport aircraft are in various stages of production at "Aviastar", they should be assembled this year.
