More than 30 airports will be reconstructed in Russia in 2023-2024

In the last 20 years, 92 out of 200 air harbours have been renovated

The Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia, Igor Chalik, at the meeting “On the development of the tourist potential of the Far East and Arctic territories,” announced that more than 30 airports would be reconstructed in Russia within two years.

"We plan to reconstruct another 34 airports by the end of 2024. More than 70 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes for 2023-2024, but in addition to budget financing, we also attract non-budget financing", he said. Chalik also added that over the past 20 years, 92 airports out of more than 200 have been renovated in Russia, and eight have been built from scratch.
