Russian Deputy Minister of Transport Igor Chalyk announced at the meeting "On the development of the tourist potential of the Far East and Arctic territories" that more than 30 airports will be reconstructed in Russia in two years.
«By the end of 2024, we plan to reconstruct another 34 airports. More than 70 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes for 2023-2024, but, in addition to budgetary funding, we also attract extra-budgetary funding,» he said. Chalyk also added that over the past 20 years, 92 airports out of more than 200 have been reconstructed in Russia, and eight have been built from scratch.
