The Severnaya Verf enterprise, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, announced the transfer of the Project 20380 corvette "Mercury" to the Russian Navy.

"Mercury" is the fifth corvette built at Severnaya Verf under Project 20380, developed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The previous four corvettes – "Steregushchiy", "Soobrazitelny", "Stoykiy" and "Boykiy" – are based in the Baltic Fleet.
