According to the "Typical AvtoVAZ" public page, the Volga Automobile Plant is considering not stopping the conveyor belt on which the car, anticipated by many Russians, is produced, even on Saturdays.
Saturday, May 13, may become a working day for all conveyors of the AvtoVAZ car assembly complex. While the issue has already been resolved for the Lada Niva and Lada Granta lines, it is still being worked out for the Lada Vesta NG.
Thus, it has been proposed to launch the assembly of the flagship model range on the upcoming weekend in a day shift lasting 8 hours. As we have already reported, the plant has implemented its March plans and returned to a two-shift schedule for the Lada Vesta NG conveyor. The coming days will show how ready it is for additional work on Saturdays as well.
Plans for Lada Niva and Lada Granta for the next working weekend remain the same. SUVs will be produced on May 13 in one 8-hour shift, and the Lada Granta line will be used for 12 hours. Employees will be paid double for this day, as stipulated in the AvtoVAZ collective agreement," writes "Typical AvtoVAZ."
As a reminder, AvtoVAZ launched full-scale serial production of Lada Vesta NG today: the company is in full preparation for the upcoming start of sales.
