The agency "AvtoStat" reported that there are 1.114 million cars older than 35 years in Russia. Most of them (649 thousand or about 60%) are Lada brand, but Toyota is already in second place (153.2 thousand or about 14%). The top-5 of the "oldest" brands also includes Moskvich (44.6 thousand, 4%), Nissan (42.6 thousand, 3.8%) and Audi (38.5 thousand, 3,5%).
Speaking about models, the most common "old-timers" are VAZ-2106 (15.6% of the total number), VAZ-2101 (15.5%) and Niva (7.9%). Most cars 35+ years old are in Primorsky Krai, Irkutsk Region, Krasnodar and Altai Krai, as well as in Kaliningrad Region.
