Космический грузовик «Прогресс МС-22» скорректировал орбиту МКС

This is necessary to create ballistic conditions for the station's docking with the new freighter "Progress MS-23"

Roscosmos announced a planned correction of the International Space Station's orbit. On Sunday morning, the engines of the Progress MS-22 space freighter docked to it were turned on for 716.8 seconds, which was enough to increase the average altitude of the station's orbit by 1.95 km.

After the corrective maneuver, the average orbit of the station was 417.12 km above the Earth's surface. The orbit correction was carried out to create ballistic conditions before docking with the new freighter - "Progress MS-23". It will go to the ISS later this month.
