The publication The Washington Post in a note titled «Russia tests secretive weapon to target SpaceX’s Starlink in Ukraine» reports that Russia uses ground-based radio-electronic warfare complexes 14Ц227 «Tobol» to disrupt the operation of the Starlink satellite communication system in Ukraine. The edition refers to declassified intelligence documents, leaked to the network.
The 14Ц227 «Tobol» complexes were created to protect the Russian satellite group from electronic effects of the enemy. But the American edition claims that in Russia they have been experimenting with them for several months, trying to disrupt the operation of the Starlink system in Ukraine.
Previously, there were rumors that the «Tobol» program, designed to protect Russian satellites, could be used to attack enemy satellites. US intelligence data confirm these assumptions. However, no specific evidence for this is provided.
