The sales structure of Moskvich 3 gasoline crossovers has become known. As you know, the model is currently represented by one top configuration with two versions of gearboxes to choose from – manual and CVT. It turned out that the CVT version accounts for 85 percent of sales, but at the same time, many are interested in the manual transmission version. Why did this happen? Sergey Novoselsky, Director of Marketing and IT of the Petrovsky Group of Companies, commented on the situation.
«The demand for Moskvich cars with a manual transmission is significant, about half of the customers are interested in them. As the availability of the corresponding configurations increases, I believe that the sales volume of versions with "mechanics" will grow and amount to 20-25%», he said.
«At the same time, I don’t think that the manufacturer will try to fully satisfy the demand for "mechanics". Still, a gradual abandonment of it is a global trend, and the difference in price, especially when buying a car on credit, is not critical. Therefore, "transferring" such customers to a CVT looks more appropriate, both from the point of view of the manufacturer and from the point of view of dealers», Sergey Novoselsky added.
