The structure of sales of gasoline crossovers "Moskvich 3" became known. As is known, the model is currently represented by one top-end configuration with two transmission options to choose - mechanical and variable transmission. It turned out that 85 percent of sales are for the variable version, but many are interested in the manual transmission version. Why did this happen? The situation was commented on by the Director of Marketing and IT of the Petrovsky Group of Companies, Sergey Novoselsky.
"The demand for "Moskvich" cars with a manual transmission is significant, about half of the customers are interested in them. As the availability of corresponding configurations grows, I think that the volume of sales of versions with a "mechanic" will grow and will make up to 20-25%", - he said.
"At the same time, I don't think that the manufacturer will go so far as to fully satisfy the demand for a "mechanic". The gradual refusal from it is a global trend, and the difference in price, especially when buying a car on credit, is not critical. Therefore, "transplanting" such customers to a variator looks more reasonable, both from the manufacturer's point of view and from the dealers' point of view", - added Sergey Novoselsky.
