The Russian multi-purpose copter "Piranha-13" has increased its payload capacity to 15 kg. The military began to use it to install minefields using the widespread TM-62M anti-tank mines.
The range with such a payload can reach 7-10 km. It is likely that the increased payload capacity will allow the Piranha-13 to be equipped with a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher, such as the RPG-26 Aglen or RPG-30 Kryuk, military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted.
The Piranha-13 drone was developed in the summer of 2024 at the Simbirsk Design Bureau (SKB).
Technical characteristics of the FPV drone "Piranha-13":
- Size - 13 inches, compact form factor
- Payload - up to 8 kg
- Flight range - up to 30 km
- Number of engines - 8
- Multi-frequency channels
- Quick-release battery mount
- Camera stabilization system
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense showed footage of anattack on heavy equipment using FPV drones of the Rubicon advanced unmanned technology test center.
