The Terminator tank support fighting vehicle (produced at Uralvagonzavod) can replace an entire motorized rifle detachment during an attack. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
"Terminator" is a highly protected vehicle. The use of BMPT in combat has proven that the vehicle can withstand multiple hits from enemy ammunition without harming the crew.
"Terminator" is armed with two 30-mm automatic cannons, guided missiles, machine guns and automatic grenade launchers, which allows it to hit several targets simultaneously.
The BMPT not only covers tanks, but also acts as an independent assault combat unit, destroying enemy firing points and strongholds. In some cases, the "Terminator" will replace a motorized rifle detachment during an attack (includes BMP-2M, riflemen, machine gunner and grenade launchers).
Rostec emphasized that the BMPT "Terminator" has no analogues in Western countries.
BMPT "Terminator" characteristics:
- Combat weight - 48 tons
- Clearance - 406 mm
- Engine - V-92S2
- Engine power - 1000 hp
- Suspension - individual torsion bar
- Highway speed - 60 km/h
